About Us

SME Theatre is proud of the numerous awards and acolades the students earn, but we are most proud that our group of kids are welcoming and inviting to all students.  It is a true treasure in diverse peronalities.  Magic is consistently made on the stage.

Boosters recognize these acheivments.  We invtie you to join in supporting and encouraging these talented students.

This would not be possible without you!

Thank you to our parents, former students, community members and Corporate sponsors.  We look forward to demonstrating appreciation for you and our kids, all year long.

Mission Statement:

Theatre Boosters provide a wide range of volunteer and financial support for the theatre program through membership and fundraising. We value the continued growth of the Shawnee Mission East Theatre program, benefitting students, faculty and the East community. In addition, Theatre Boosters grants three scholarships each year, to graduating seniors pursing theatre arts in college.

Funds provided by the district are not sufficient for continued support of the needs of our students and faculty. SME Theatre relies on booster and community support for the resources needed to be competitive and successful.
